ARK Boards & Board Sports Productions 1st Annual Cast for Kids Standup Paddleboard Fishing Tournament
Pompano Beach surfers and fisherman alike can help some of the most medically fragile children in the nation by simply casting a line on Saturday, July 10th.
Participants can support Broward Children's Center by registering for the First Annual Cast for Kids Stand-up Paddle Board Fishing Tournament which will help raise funds to provide early education, therapy and support services to children having special needs.
The tournament is brought to Pompano Beach by a local company, ARK Boards, whose mission is to allow and encourage people to experience this rapidly growing sport for themselves, along with Board Sports Productions, a company committed to supporting and educating the local community through event coordination and management.
The Cast for Kids Stand-up Paddle Board Fishing Tournament will see participants turning paddleboards and surfboards into eco-friendly fishing platforms in a competition to capture the largest fish. Spectators and participants alike can enjoy board demo's, a post-event party, BBQ, refreshments, music, awards ceremony, and raffle at the Ocean Point Beach Resort in Pompano Beach. Pre-registration is $50.00 and $60.00 the day of the event.
"This year our community's support is more important than ever because ev
ery cent raised will help fund our efforts to provide early education, therapy and support services to children having special needs," said Broward Children's Center CEO, Marjorie Evans.
Event registration starts at 6:00 am sharp. The tournament offers a $59.00 ocean view room rate and along with US Steakhouse BBQ food specials, and a live band.
The tournament will begin and end at Ocean Point Resort located at 1208 N. Ocean Blvd in Pompano Beach, just off of the 14th Street Causeway and A1A.
