Mark your calendars now, for this event is one of the most exciting culinary experiences in Palm Beach County. Hosted by PGA Commons, this immaculate mile long, beautifully lit streetscape provides for a flawless social atmosphere. Along with fifty of The Palm Beaches most accomplished master chefs preparing their finest cuisines and wine tastings from top local wineries, there will also be silent auctions, fundraisers, fire truck and police displays, live entertainment, antique cars, and activities to guarantee an exiting evening for all.=0D=0A= =0D=0A= 100% of all the proceeds raised will go directly into bettering the community through the Big Heart Brigade charity organization. Established in 1992, staffed purely with volunteers, this group’s goal is to support those in need within the community. Their most noteworthy program is preparing and giving Thanksgiving meals to those in need. The Big Heart Brigade’s target is an epic one for this year; preparing at least 40,000 meals. Events such as this, as well as the generous donations of individuals and companies are what make this goal possible.=0D=0A= =0D=0A= The 5th year anniversary of the Taste of the Palm Beaches will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, and is limited to 1200 guests. Tickets are $35.00 in advance or $40.00 at the door, children between 6 and 12 are $20.00 and children under 6 are free. Many of the tickets are expected to be purchased in advance, so make sure not to miss out on what will surely be the premier event of the year. In 1992, a few local businessmen, residents, firefighters, police officers, and other civil servants who wanted to make a difference in the their community came together and founded this very diverse and unusual group. Over the years, community leaders and other citizens who are dedicated to a "hands-on" approach to civic service joined them. Their motto is "Coming to the Rescue." The Big Heart Brigade is a 100% volunteer organization and has no paid administrators or board members.
